My next project is working on a book about how the science and innovation of Ancient Persia inspired the West and where we can gleam inspiration for green innovations of the future.

What made you join the Pacific Council?

Kimiya Shokoohi: The Pacific Council had a great culture when I was working for the company, Jerry's insight about the Iran are very insightful to my work, and the network could be a great asset to the work we do.

What’s your biggest takeaway?

Kimiya Shokoohi: My biggest takeaway from my membership is that the Pacific Council has a great culture, forward-looking vision, and provide a great potential for its young and emerging membership base.

Do you recall any particular quotes or stories from any Pacific Council events you attended?

Kimiya Shokoohi: Jerry's assessments about Canada as an important ally, and one not to be undermined, was a point that I feel the Pacific Council can invest in better – its relations with its neighbour up north as a country with similar views and policies as the state of California.
