AMPLIFY PITCH DAY & CULMINATION CEREMONY
The Pacific Council on International Policy launched a 16-week professional leadership program, called AMPLIFY in February 2022, which is geared towards early to mid-career professionals who have traditionally been underrepresented in foreign affairs. AMPLIFY launched with eight Fellows, each joining the program with their own local-to-global project – a project that affects local communities by doing globally-oriented work – that they will launch into their own communities across the United States.
On June 10, the Pacific Council held AMPLIFY’s inaugural Pitch Day & Culmination Ceremony, where all eight Fellows presented their local-to-global pitch project in a public setting to a panel of field experts, receiving feedback from accomplished professionals in order to enhance each project now that AMPLIFY comes to a close. Each Fellow was awarded $1,000 as seed funding to help launch their projects. Below, you will see an artistic illustration by Dayna Bowers that captured each of the Fellows’ local-to-global pitch presentations in real time.
The Pacific Council is honored to have launched the AMPLIFY program with these amazing thought leaders, and look forward to seeing the dynamic growth and impact each of them will enact into their communities. We encourage you to follow the Fellows and their organizations via LinkedIn or social media to support their amazing work and continue to strengthen our mission of creating greater diversity in foreign policy. The inaugural AMPLIFY program was made possible by the JL Foundation and the Confidence Foundation.
